We send our kindest thoughts to Doug Herbert and his wife on these dark days. We also have a lost son due to a road accident and to think your loss was double to ours I can say no more. Stand tall, godspeed and be proud always.

-- John and Lyn Everitt and family

Our thoughts are with Doug, Sonnie, Jessie and grandparents Chet, Leanne and Carole all of their friends and family at home in Charlotte, across the US and in the UK. What a tragic loss of young lives and dreams, a sad, sad and bitter loss. May the hearts and souls of Jon and James, brothers and best friends drive on in the memories of all those who had the pleasure to know and love them and may the boys continue to share each others company in eternity, watch over each other and their family and rest in peace.

-- Sharon and Jon Hogarth and all at Specialists In Design

I send our condolences to Doug Herbert and his wife. I met Doug in 2006 when I bought my car from him and he is a great guy. I have two children of the same age as Doug and when I am out of town at a races I always hope that nothing happens with my family at home. So for me it's really hard and really brings me down to Earth. We will think of and pray for Doug.

-- Urs Erbacher, family and team

What terrible, devastating news and the, to lose one son in an accident is unthinkable, but two? The irony is their dad risked his life every week in a 300+ mph Top Fuel car. God bless the Herbert family in the dark days that lie ahead.
