Bob Roberts has kindly sent a gallery of pictures taken by him whilst the build of Bernard Saz's Hotröen Citröen Traction took place at Eurodragster.com sponsor Robinson Race Cars at the end of 2014 and start of 2015.

Bernard had brought an earlier version of this car to the UK, the first picture shows it at the 2010 Main Event where it was entered in Comp Eliminator. This version of the car was not entirely satisfactory which is why RRC was commissioned to build a replacement based on a modified version of the same body.

The chassis is built in Pro Mod style with a Mark Williams modular axle and anti-roll bars front and rear. The front struts are mounted on “bunny ears” up from the twin chassis tubes rather than tubes from the A-pillar to the front of the chassis. This allows for easier work on the engine such as removal of heads.

This is one of the few times I managed to capture the use of a laser to ensure correct alignment of the back axle with the engine. Picture 7 shows the red line projected by the laser on the axle and Picture 8 shows the fitting which holds the laser and mounts in the front bearing position in the engine.

Bernard's best times in the carbon fibre bodied, immaculately detailed car came at the 2016 Euro Finals when he ran 7.1283/189.63 among a slew of other low sevens at over 180mph, power being supplied by a 600ci blown alky engine.
