International Drag Racing Hall of Fame member Rich Guasco is the owner of Pure Hell which will be making passes at Dragstalgia at Santa Pod in July. He said "After our previous trip to Goodwood we are thrilled to be returning to the UK and running at Santa Pod." There were many close races in the Gas classes which eschew electronic throttle stops. Here in D/Gas Don Fournier's clean Anglia won against Gray Handee's decal-clad Pinto in round two of racing.

In Nostalgia Eliminator III the '23 T of Tim Beeman is ahead of the Brogie Roadster of Ernie McAllister, however it was Ernie who prevailed on a holeshot.

In NEI round four, the dragster of Kenny Upton won over the 23-T altered of Greg Denhartog .

In 7.0 Pro round 3, the dragster of eventual winner Richard High ran a 7.042 to beat Lawton Ferreira II's Topolino's 7.048.

The '32 Bantam of Brad Denney ran a 7.019 with a RT of 0.003 in round three. .

John Hildebrand's three window coupe surprised with this wheelstand which came down fairly hard without major damage. .

Tim Nemeth's Iceman Racing car ran a quick 5.754/242 and RT of 0.107 but lost to Kris Krabill's 5.763/242 and 0.088 RT in the Austin and O'Brien Racing entry.

Kris Krabill went as far as the semi-final when Dan Horan's 5.73/249 was quicker than Krabill's 5.77/252.

Funny Car winner James Day's Pedlar is all-new for 2014 and owned by Gary Turner and tuned by Chris Nance.

Rick White was on strong form with consistent 5.6-5.7 times however White was unable to upset Tony Bartone's low ET and top speed of the meet 5.623/262 in the final.

Dan Oberg in the near lane got into handling difficulties in round one of Fuel Altered and lifted to a 8.519 while Jeremy Sullivan recorded a 6.294..

Fuel Altered winner Dan Hix had a cylinder out however he was on a 6.269 bye when Bryan Bruhn couldn't start.

Mike Boyd put on a great show with the 'Mousie' Marcellus & Borsch Winged Express, however a red light put him out against Ron August Jr in Pure Hell.

Pure Hell was competitive in terms of pace and went 6.329 in round one, quick for an old-style Fuel Altered. However the car was unable to start in the semi final.

At the very end of the day, the jet dragster Terminal Velocity made a demo pass.

The A/Fuel Dragster of Shawn Cobari is ahead of Bobby Cottrell at this point in round two. Cobari ran 6.365/215 to go through against Cottrell's 7.205/168.

Ryan Davenport has a tight grip on A/Fuel having won last October's CHRR and qualifying no.1 with a 6.307 (a tenth quicker than anyone else in the class) and running between 6.19 and 6.22 in eliminations.

Mike Chrisman's Junior Fuel dragster went one round with a 7.07/189 win over Dan Fenton before losing out to eventual winner Wayne Ramay in the semi final.

Keith Wilson in the Fiat leaves the line in the semi final where the car's 6.146 lost to eventual winner Dan Hix's 6.086.

Jeremy Sullivan had a 6.817 bye run when Ron August Jr could not make the call.

Jessie Wootton (left lane) in his '65 Malibu went against Cliff Boyles '74 Arrow and it was Boyles who came out the winner.

During gaps in eliminations several Funny Cars came out for test passes. Here Jordan Pawlick from Alberta in Canada warms the tyres before carding a 6.00 pass in the Nitro Militia Mustang.

The remaining pictures are of final rounds. In Hot Rod, James Kirkman's '73 Nova overcame the handicap advantage of Eric Christianson in his Falcon pickup.

in D/Gas, the '69 Dart of Sam Tucker broke out by the least against Bryson Kleeman's Camaro.

In D/Gas, Todd Lindgren in his '70 Chevelle ran a 9.601 to defeat Neal Westbrook's breakout time in his Camaro.

NEIII came down to the '27 Ford of Rick Harrison who, in another double breakout broke out by less than Troy Moyle in his '34 Ford.

In NEI there was another double breakout and Bill Webber's dragster broke out the least in his race against the dragster of Alan Hull.

In A/Gas, Brian Rogers in his '65 Nova went 7.597 to Chris Beane's 7.590 in the blown Henry Ford J.

B/Gas had Cliff Boyles and his 583cu in '76 Arrow go 8.591 against a re-lighing Mike Boss in his '69 Chevelle.

In the Junior Fuel final, Don Enriquez (near lane) had some problems the team needed to fix on the line. But then Don red-lit by 0.006 against Wayne Ramay.

A/Fuel had the US Air Force-sponsored car of Kin Bates slow to a 7.282/207 against the dominant Ryan Davenport.

Dan Hix ran a 6.115 to defeat the Topolino of Jeremy Sullivan which ran 6.210.

James Day pulled off remarkable startline reactions when his 5.883 and 0.043 RT defeated Dan Horan's 5.726 and 0.200 reaction.

The Top Fuel Dragster final where Tony Bartone defeated the dragster of Rick White with a 5.623 to White's 5.715. Sunday's results can be seen at Competition Plus.

The Top Fuel DRagsters of Rick McGee and Rick Williamson had a close race in round two with McGee coming out the victor, 5.81/242 to Williamson's 5.87.
